The Reiki Principles

The Reiki Principles are a simple spiritual foundation for living a calm and balanced life. These guiding principles are used to create mindfulness, gratitude, and compassion.

The five Reiki Principles are:

Just for today…

  • I will not worry

  • I will not be angry

  • I will do my work honestly

  • I will be kind to every living thing

  • I will be grateful for my many blessings​

These gentle yet powerful affirmations remind us to focus on the present moment. Rather than striving for perfection, the Reiki Principles encourage steady practice — one day at a time.

By working with these principles, we nurture emotional balance, inner calm, and a deeper connection to ourselves and others.
